Information: No auditions, details of the programme and applications open next year.
NYOS | Development
Age: 11-18
Grade: 5-8 or equivalent
Information: Applications for 2025 open on Tuesday 3 September. Solo auditions are submitted as a recorded audition, reviewed by the panel, and everyone is invited to attend a half-day group audition. Courses in spring and summer, with two concerts per year.

NYOS: LAB
Age: 14-18
Grade: 6+ or equivalent
Information: Creative music-making and improvisation course, allowing young musicians to explore their musical voices and develop personal leadership skills.
NYOS | Scotland's National Youth Orchestra
Age: 14-22
Grade: 8+ or equivalent
Information: Applications for 2025 open on Tuesday 3 September. Solo auditions are submitted as a recorded audition, reviewed by the panel, and everyone is invited to attend a half-day group audition. Courses in spring and summer, with at least four concert performances in the year.

Eligibility: Current and past members of NYOS - by invitation only.
Information: Pre-professional musical experiences for young people who may be looking to transition to a professional career in the arts. Providing ad-hoc unique opportunities for music-making as an orchestra.
