'A Northumbrian Kist'
A Northumbrian Kist' is inspired by an old local word for treasure chest and this concert is a rich mix of glorious string orchestral music provided by NYOS Futures with compositions by Greig and Holst plus a newly orchestrated suite of Northumbrian songs, featuring singers Tamsin Davidson and Alan Rowland; a new orchestral work showcasing Sam Lord on Bass Clarinet; and works by celebrated and now Northumberland-based Bolivian composer, Agustin Fernandez, and The Maltings' own Artistic Director, Matthew Rooke.
